Foundation for FutureLondon has been established to realise the potential of a Culture and Education District on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

It will be a game changer for communities in east London and beyond; a new powerhouse for innovation and creativity, through the unique collaboration of world-leading institutions including: Sadler’s Wells; University of the Arts London’s London College of Fashion; University College London; Victoria and Albert Museum; and the Smithsonian Institution.

Through the promotion of arts, culture, science and education Foundation for FutureLondon will catalyse the opportunities created by the arrival of world-class institutions, working alongside the thriving, existing arts, culture and education sector in east London, to raise expectation and aspiration. This dynamic new heart for London will deliver London 2012’s promise to regenerate “an entire community for the direct benefit of everyone who lives there”.  It will be open to all, building on the creative spark, adaptability and resilience of local communities and rekindling the optimism and positive spirit of the 2012 Games.

Through successfully integrating this vision with the development of places to live, work and innovate around the Park, we believe that we can help to pioneer a new kind of urban experience.

"Growing London’s cultural sector is one of my core priorities as Mayor and the Cultural and Education District on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is truly exciting project. The work that Foundation for FutureLondon is leading on to raise funds for the District is critical to the success of the initiative. I have no doubt that the collaborations between all the partner organisations will generate great visitor interest and will have a broad and positive impact on the communities of east London."
Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London
